Overview
Tsebo Solutions Group is looking for a motivated General Assistant to join our team. The General Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations, assisting Cooks and Chefs with food preparation, handling cash register duties, and maintaining cleanliness in the canteen and kitchen areas. Responsibilities
-Comply with company and statutory regulations regarding cleanliness and hygiene in all tasks.
-Maintain quality standards in customer service, operating processes, health and safety, and food production.
-Assist in meal preparation, particularly with salads and desserts.
-Ensure the serving line is well-stocked, clean, and orderly.
- Help train new employees as required.
- Store and record leftover food.
- Keep canteen tables, kitchen, and other areas clean and organized.
- Meet customer expectations within the provisions of the contract.
- Ensure stock is counted and signed over to the correct staff for the next shift.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback, reporting them to management where necessary.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Competencies
- Enjoy practical, methodical work.
- Honest, reliable, with good hand-eye coordination.
- Able to work quickly and safely with strong attention to personal hygiene.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Able to work 45-50 hours per week, with physical stamina to bend, stand, and lift.
- Free from skin allergies to food and detergents.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Matric / Senior Certificate required.
