Overview
Shoprite is offering exciting opportunities for unemployed youth to gain valuable experience and build a foundation for long-term careers through several key initiatives. These include the Retail Readiness Programme (RRP), Youth Employment Services (YES) Initiative, and bursaries for academic studies. These programs are designed to develop the skills of young South Africans and help reduce unemployment by equipping participants with essential work experience.
Youth Employment Services (YES)
The YES initiative is a partnership between businesses, the government, and labor departments aimed at creating economic opportunities for the youth. This 12-month program provides participants with on-the-job training in various areas of the retail business. Upon completion, successful learners will have the skills to pursue a career in retail or even start their own retail business.
Who Can Apply?
- South African youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Requirements
- A South African Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Completion of the Retail Readiness Programme (RRP).
