We invite applications for the position of General Store Assistant at our Canal Walk location. Key Responsibilities
-Deliver outstanding customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
-Perform cash desk functions, ensuring adherence to daily cash management processes.
-Maintain zero cash variances and accurately record manual transactions.
-Follow stock management processes daily, including accurate completion of weekly stock counts.
-Manage customer orders and ensure the storeroom is well-organized and in good condition.
-Conduct weekly shoe pairing exercises.
Sales Support
-Meet set sales targets and actively contribute to store sales goals.
-Maintain comprehensive product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
Requirements
-Minimum of 1 year of retail experience.
-Completed Matric/Grade 12.
-Knowledge of retail administration disciplines, stock, and cash management processes.
-Strong sales knowledge and selling skills.
-Understanding of policies and procedures related to cash handling, stock management, and administration.
-Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail.

-Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and team members.
-Capable of influencing others and minimizing risk.
