Job Title: Display Assistant (Driver)

Overview:
The Shoprite Group is looking for a responsible and well-spoken Display Assistant (Driver) to manage the transportation, setup, and dismantling of displays for in-store promotions, outdoor posters, and special events. This role involves ensuring that equipment is safely delivered and set up at various locations, as well as maintaining the quality and timeliness of displays.
Responsibilities:
–Transportation: Safely transport equipment and promotional materials to various stores, events, and locations.
–Setup and dismantling: Assemble and disassemble in-store displays, outdoor posters, and branded items for events, ensuring proper installation.
–Poster management: Prepare, print, and insert posters into frames for stores and events. Hang new posters and repair old ones as needed.
–Event setup: Collect and set up branded materials such as gazebos, flyers, and telescopic banners for special events.
–Timely deliveries: Plan and coordinate delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service.
–Vehicle management: Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the company vehicle.
–Supplier relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth equipment collection and delivery.
Requirements:
– Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
– Grade 12 certificate.
– PDP (Professional Driving Permit) desirable.

- Trustworthy, reliable, and physically fit to handle equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to drive long distances and adhere to driving schedules.
- Ability to work on weekends and public holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and road safety regulations.
- Experience:
- Experience in transporting equipment, setting up, and dismantling in-store and event displays.
- Experience working with posters, including printing and preparing them for installation.
