Overview
Pepkor Lifestyle, a leading retail lifestyle brand, is looking for a reliable and experienced Courier Driver to join our team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. If you have a valid Code 8 driver’s license, PDP, and prior experience in a courier environment, we want to hear from you. This role involves ensuring the timely, safe, and efficient delivery of packages, while maintaining exceptional customer service and accurate record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
– Timely Deliveries: Safely transport packages and parcels to designated locations, including customers, stores, service centers, and drop-off points, ensuring all stock is accompanied by accurate documentation.
– Stock and Equipment Management: Take responsibility for stock, vehicles, and equipment assigned, and ensure the return of undelivered stock to the service center.
– Customer Interaction: Provide top-notch customer service during interactions, maintaining a customer-centric approach.
– Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures relevant to transportation and company regulations.
– Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with your team and demonstrate strong self-management skills.
– Problem Solving: Handle any stock discrepancies, delivery issues, or vehicle-related concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
– Grade 12
– Valid Code 8 license and Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
– At least 3 years of experience as a driver, preferably in a courier environment.
– Strong knowledge of Durban’s geographical area.
– Familiarity with transportation principles, distribution safety standards, and records maintenance.
– Understanding of Pepkor Lifestyle’s policies, systems, and operational models.
