Training Force, a registered training provider, has been delivering industry-specific skills assessments and training interventions since 2003. We have partnered with over 3,000 companies and upskilled more than 55,000 employees across various sectors through our nationwide branches. Our focus is to equip individuals and businesses with the necessary skills to thrive in the workforce.

Programme Description:

The Training Force Learnership Programme is a structured 12-month programme designed to provide both theoretical and practical learning. Upon successful completion, participants will earn an occupational qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and accredited by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

All Training Force learnerships are accredited by the respective Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA).

Eligibility for the YES Initiative:

To qualify under the Youth Employment Service (YES) Initiative, businesses must meet the following requirements based on their Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) classification:

  • Generic Entities:
    • Must achieve a minimum of 40% on the three priority elements or maintain an average of 50% across these elements.
  • Qualifying Small Enterprises (QSEs):
    • Can achieve an average of 40% across two priority elements instead of meeting the 40% ownership requirement.
  • Exempt Micro Enterprises (EMEs):
    • No specific requirements are needed for registration under the YES initiative.
  • YES Targets for Generic Entities:
    • 1.5% of the company’s headcount or
    • 1.5% of the company’s average Net Profit After Tax (NPAT) over the past three years, divided by R55,000 to determine the number of eligible youths.
    • Targets range from 6 youths for companies with R50 million revenue to 15 youths for companies with R500 million revenue.

The highest applicable target should be selected to meet the YES requirements.
