Overview
PUTCO, in collaboration with the Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA), is offering 20 learnership opportunities toward the Occupational Certificate: Bus Driver. This program is designed to equip candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career as professional drivers in the Road Passenger Transport Industry.
Preference will be given to female applicants.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
–Education: Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and English.
–Licensing: Valid Driver’s License (Code EC1 or EC, or Code C1) – Note: EC1 is preferred.
–Permit: Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit).
–Employment Status: Must be unemployed.
–Age: Must be younger than 35 years.
–Health: Must have good overall health.
–Commitment: Demonstrated willingness to pursue a career as a professional driver in the Road Passenger Transport Industry.
Conditions of Employment
–Contract: 12-month learnership contract, as per Sectoral Determination No. 5: Learnerships.
–Stipend: A monthly learner allowance of R2,700, payable for the duration of the program.
–Leave: 15 days of annual leave.
