Overview
Flyfofa Aviation Training, in partnership with the National Skills Fund (NSF) and the Department of Higher Education and Training, is excited to offer a fully funded bursary for a Remote Pilot Certificate (Drone Pilot) program.
This comprehensive course equips aspiring drone pilots with the knowledge and skills required to become certified. The program covers drone regulations, safe flying practices, and operational insights. Training includes theoretical and practical components, as well as internal and external SACAA exams, ensuring you meet all SACAA certification requirements.
Program Highlights:
- Hands-on Experience: Train with experienced instructors in a safe environment.
- Certification: Earn a Remote Pilot Certificate after demonstrating your knowledge and flying skills to a qualified examiner.
- Duration: 12 weeks of full-time training (includes accommodation and a monthly stipend).
Entry Requirements
- South African citizenship.
- Age: 18 to 23 years.
- Reside in Gauteng Province.
- Completed Grade 12.
- Achieved:
- Level 5 in English,
- Level 4 in Mathematics or Level 5 in Mathematical Literacy.
- Willingness to undergo an Aviation Medical Examination.
- Excellent communication, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask with great hand-to-eye coordination.
- Safety-oriented and culturally sensitive.

- South Africans of all racial groups residing in Gauteng Province.
- Child Grant Recipients.
- Learners from quintile 1, 2, or 3 schools.

Selection Process
- Pre-screening: Applications are reviewed for eligibility.
- Aviation Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates undergo medical screening.
- Panel Interviews: Final selection involves an interview process.
