Minimum Requirements:

Job Purpose:
To effectively coach and lead your team in achieving agreed goals by developing their skills and ensuring optimal performance. As a Supervisor, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of Shoppers and Drivers for daily flawless service delivery.
  • Conduct spot checks on uniform, orders, staff attendance, and operational processes.
  • Problem-solve and troubleshoot daily operational issues with an analytical mindset.
  • Support the team on special projects for efficiency and growth.
  • Provide an operational perspective on Logistics to ensure best practices.
  • Daily management of Shoppers and Drivers to achieve KPIs, with daily and weekly reporting.
  • Train and develop shoppers, ensuring consistent application of internal procedures.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in balancing personal objectives with organizational needs.

Staff Management:

  • Allocate schedules to ensure efficient management of store orders.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to improve motivation and communication.
  • Ensure punctuality and facilitate training for service improvement.
  • Resolve staff queries and manage submissions to head office promptly.
  • Identify and address training needs for continuous staff development.

Complaints Management:

  • Assist and attend to shopper and driver queries.
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints and provide feedback to the Area Manager.
  • Investigate and respond to shopper queries proactively.
  • Anticipate potential problems and take preventive action.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to solve problems.

Reporting:

  • Provide weekly feedback on staff performance.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance insights.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of reports to relevant parties.
  • Advise and review weekly reports for complaints, downtime, and store productivity.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in South Africa.
  • Valid South African driver’s license or Professional driving permit (PrDP).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Own vehicle or motorbike with verified registration documents.
  • Access to a recent smartphone (iPhone 5 / Android 4.4 or newer) for delivery app and GPS.
  • 2-3 years of Team Leader experience.
