Job Summary
As a Bank Teller at Absa, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that customers are assisted promptly and with a high level of professionalism. You will also support compliance and risk management procedures to ensure the security and integrity of transactions.
Key Responsibilities
–Cash Handling: Manage cash float, dispense and receive cash, cheques, and other financial instruments.
–Transaction Processing: Handle deposits, withdrawals, and payments while adhering to policies and security measures.
–Fraud Prevention: Stay vigilant for fraudulent activities and report any concerns to your supervisor.
–Customer Service: Provide advice on transaction processes, resolve customer queries, and guide customers on completing transaction documentation.
–Sales Leads: Identify sales opportunities and direct customers to Sales Consultants for further assistance.
–Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with cash management procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Conduct cash counts and manage teller registers.
–End-of-Day Procedures: Ensure proper record-keeping and reconciliation of transactions.
