Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Trainee Store Manager to join our team in the Florida & Roodepoort Node. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding high standards in customer service, achieving sales targets, managing costs, and ensuring the effective operation of the store. This role also involves leading and developing team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Drive store sales by effectively implementing business processes.

-Meet and exceed sales targets and budgets.

-Manage costs within budget to optimize store profitability.

-Implement professional HR practices in staffing and talent management.

-Oversee effective stock management and ensure a strong store image.

-Exceed customer expectations through exceptional service.

-Lead and communicate clearly with team members to ensure effective performance management.

-Adhere to company policies and procedures.

-Foster a productive work environment that aligns with company values.

-Manage the store in line with the business plan to ensure optimal brand representation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Energetic self-starter with a passion for retail.
  • At least 3 years of retail experience, including a minimum of 1 year in a management role.
  • Strong skills in merchandise management, stock control, and cost management.
  • A strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ability to maintain high standards in-store operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence a team.
  • A keen interest in personal and team development.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); proficiency in a second official language is an advantage.
