Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Driver to join our team at Bellville South. As a Forklift Driver, your primary responsibilities will include selecting, consolidating, and moving raw material stock to the production plant. Additionally, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods within the plant and the final goods warehouse. Loading and offloading vehicles, stacking packaging materials, and assisting in stock counts are integral parts of this role. Daily forklift checks and reporting any deviations, as well as ensuring housekeeping, demarcated areas, and safety standards are maintained, are crucial aspects of the position. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a smooth and safe operational flow within our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Select, consolidate, and move raw material stock to the production plant
- Move raw materials and finished goods within the plant and the final goods warehouse
- Load stock onto vehicles and offload vehicles
- Pull and stack packaging materials, raw materials, and finished goods onto pallets
- Assist in stock counts
- Perform daily forklift checks and report any deviations
- Sack and store materials to ensure housekeeping, demarcated areas, and safety standards are maintained
- Ensure timely movement of all requested items
- Strive towards Zero harm
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric/ Grade 12 qualification
- Valid Forklift license
- Literacy in English, both orally and in writing
- Mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Food Safety (HACCP)
