Overview:
AECI Food & Beverage is seeking skilled Forklift Drivers to join our team in Bellville South. The role involves efficiently handling the movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods within our production plant and warehouse. The ideal candidates will ensure the timely and safe transportation of materials, adhering to safety standards and contributing to our commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
Responsibilities:
-Select, consolidate, and transport raw materials to the production plant.
-Move raw materials and finished products within the plant and to the final goods warehouse.
-Load and offload stock onto and from vehicles.
-Pull and stack packaging materials, raw materials, and finished goods onto pallets.
-Assist in conducting regular stock counts to ensure accurate inventory management.
-Perform daily forklift checks, promptly reporting any deviations or issues.
- Housekeeping & Safety:
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Properly sack and store materials in designated areas.
- Strive towards achieving Zero Harm by following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Timely Execution: Ensure the timely movement of all requested items to support smooth production operations.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid Forklift license.
- Language Skills: Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to understand and work with mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety standards, particularly Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
