Position Details:
- Title: Apprentice Technician (Tractor Mechanic/Earthmoving Mechanic)
- Duration: 3 years+
- Start Date: January 2025
- Location: Various branches across South Africa
Responsibilities:
As an apprentice, you will be trained to become a skilled Tractor Mechanic/Technician. Your duties will include:
- Repair and maintenance of related equipment
- Stock control
- Customer service
- General workplace tasks
Training Program:
- 3-year in-service training experience
- Practical training at designated institutes
- Distance learning for required subjects (if necessary)
- Product Training at John Deere Training Facility and other suppliers
- Internal training sessions conducted by specialists
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s license
- Communication and admin skills
- Computer literacy
- N2 subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Diesel Trade Theory, and one of the following: Industrial Electronics, Engineering/Technical Drawing, Motor Trade Theory
- Alternatively, Matric Certificate with specific subject requirements
