Job Purpose
The Sampler will be responsible for the collection, preparation, and testing of ore samples, ensuring accurate results that reflect the original product. This role contributes to effective decision-making by delivering timely and precise sample analyses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and promote good housekeeping to maintain a controlled and safe work environment. Participate in safety assessments and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Sample Collection and Preparation: Collect and prepare ore samples for analysis, ensuring that they are contamination-free and accurately reflect the original product.
  • Sample Testing: Conduct all sample testing processes according to company policies and ISO requirements, delivering timely results to the line manager.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment and the work environment to prevent contamination and ensure smooth operations.
  • Team Support: Assist the line manager and team members as needed, adhering to company guidelines and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Valid South African driver’s license

Experience and Skills

  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and chemical substances
  • Strong sampling and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Understanding of contamination prevention and ISO compliance
