Anova Health – Professional Nurse X 3 SWSS Permanent

Overview:
Anova Health Institute NPC, a leading NGO dedicated to improving health and quality of life, is seeking three Professional Nurses for permanent positions in the Southern Western Subdistrict. The roles involve initiating HIV-infected clients on ART, PrEP, and STI treatment while supporting the full implementation of the 95-95-95 strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate Anova’s 95-95-95 in-facility activities, including meetings and weekly data reviews.
  • Collaborate with outreach teams to refer and initiate ART for eligible HIV-infected clients, including PrEP.
  • Provide follow-up care for patients on treatment per DoH HIV Management guidelines, Anova work plans, and Facility 90-90-90 plans.
  • Monitor and mentor TB/HIV/STI program performance at the facility level.
  • Identify and address poor performance indicators, develop and implement quality improvement plans.
  • Assess training needs and arrange in-service training for clinic staff.
  • Train and mentor clinic staff on MSM Diversity and biomedical aspects.
  • Report weekly to Anova sub-district team using relevant M&E tools on ART and TPT initiation.
  • Support the implementation of I-ACT support groups and Chronic Treatment Clubs.
  • Attend weekly multidisciplinary meetings and participate in HITT projects for data clean-up.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Professional Nursing.
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council.
  • Certified NIMART training in the Western Cape.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a clinic (PHC or CHC) setting.
  • At least 2 years’ NIMART experience.
  • Familiarity with current HIV Management, PrEP, STI, and TB guidelines.
  • PHC Qualification is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
