Those with a grade 12 qualification are eligible to apply for ArcelorMittal South Africa’s training options to become Process Operators with a focus on the Steel Manufacturing Process. The training program’s structured outcome-based approach blends classroom education with on-the-job training. Ongoing review and progress tracking will be critical components of the learnership program. We have positions available in both our Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark offices.
A training contract will be in place.
The Production Learnership pays for all training-related fees, a monthly stipend, institutional training, on-site personal insurance, and protective gear. Permanent employment is not guaranteed after graduation.

Minimum Requirements:
- At least a Grade 12 diploma is required.
- English, Mathematics, or Math Lit, as well as Physical Science qualifications are preferred.
- A team player who can also work alone • Self-motivated and driven
- Rapid thinker with great problem-solving skills.
- Superior attention to detail and engineering ability
