Overview
Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd, a leading soda ash and salt producing company based in Sua Pan, is seeking applications from experienced and qualified candidates for the position of Artisan Rigger. This role is critical in providing rigging and scaffolding services across the plant, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in maintenance and breakdown operations.
Key Responsibilities
-Perform statutory inspections and load tests on all rigging and lifting equipment
-Maintain accurate records and registers for rigging equipment
-Erect and supervise erection/dismantling of scaffolding according to safety standards
-Operate cranes and trucks when required
-Provide rigging support during plant shutdowns and mechanical standby situations
-Execute day-to-day rigging operations safely in the plant and workshops
-Comply with and implement the Botash SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) system
Minimum Requirements
-βOβ Level or equivalent
-Recognised 4-year Trade Apprenticeship (NCC) in Rigging
-At least 5 yearsβ post-qualification experience in a heavy industrial plant environment
-Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., DMS 2000, Syspro, BOAS) is an added advantage
-Valid Driverβs License
