Overview:
Astore Keymak, a division of Hudaco Trading, is seeking a reliable and efficient Driver/Picker Packer to join our team in Germiston. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, accurate packing and unpacking of parcels, and maintaining cleanliness in the branch. This role requires an individual who is well-groomed, organized, and able to think on their feet while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving and Deliveries:
-Plan and execute cost-effective and timely deliveries to customers.
-Verify the correctness of delivery documents and ensure accurate handling of cheques or cash received from customers.
-Complete log sheets, read delivery documents and maps, and communicate effectively with internal staff and customers.
-Maintain good housekeeping practices with the vehicles driven, ensuring they are clean and well-maintained.
Picking and Packing:
-Pack and unpack goods to be stocked in the storeroom.
-Store items in an orderly and accessible manner.
-Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to the supervisor.
-Receive and count stock items, reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
-Mark stock items as needed and ensure correct documentation is available when receiving or dispatching stock.
-Report any disparities in stock documentation immediately to the supervisor.
General Maintenance:
- Ensure the general cleanliness and upkeep of the branch.
Requirements and Skills:
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
- 1-3 years of experience in a related stores environment, with product knowledge as an advantage.
Behavioural Competencies:
- Well-groomed, neat, and professionally presented.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to think and react quickly in dynamic situations.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Customer-focused and team-oriented.
