Overview
The National Department of Health’s Global Fund PMU is seeking a data capture/driver to support the Digital Chest X-Ray (DCXR) programme. This role involves assisting with data capturing and management activities within the twelve Global Fund-supported districts for the NFM3 grant period. The focus will be on capturing and reporting TB data at health facilities and community levels.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Reporting:
- Collect, record, and report data from TB screenings conducted in communities and health facilities.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Ensure data accuracy and perform data clean-up as required.
- Interaction and Collaboration:
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, project management, and Department of Health staff.
- Ensure the fulfilment of project objectives.
- Capture relevant information and support facility staff in tracking and tracing patients.
- Administrative Duties:
- Perform filing and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain an accurate vehicle log.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Submit weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports on time.
- Ensure compliance with local driving laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Valid South African code 10 driver’s license with PDP.
- Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in data capturing and reporting.
- At least two years’ experience as a driver.
- Experience in recording and reporting TB and HIV data is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Effective data management skills.
- Basic knowledge of English and local languages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and focus on customer needs.
- Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of health M&E systems is beneficial.
- Experience working in a donor-funded environment is advantageous.
- No criminal record.
