Role Purpose: As a General Store Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience, providing support in store operations, and helping to meet sales targets. Your responsibilities will contribute to the overall success of the Kurt Geiger brand within our Polokwane store.
Reporting Line: You will report directly to the Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Control:
- Perform daily cash desk operations
- Adhere to all cash management and banking protocols
- Ensure zero cash discrepancies
- Accurately document manual transactions
- Stock Management:
- Follow daily stock control procedures
- Monitor customer orders and provide timely follow-ups
- Conduct accurate weekly stock counts
- Maintain the storeroom in optimal condition
- Complete weekly shoe pairing exercises
- Customer Service:
- Deliver outstanding customer service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
- Stay updated on product knowledge to better serve customer needs
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Matric/Grade 12 (required)
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of retail experience is essential.
Additional Skills & Requirements:
- Proficiency in retail administration
- Strong understanding of cash and stock management processes
- Solid product knowledge and sales techniques
- Familiarity with policies and procedures related to cash desk, stockroom, and overall store management
