Overview:
BTT is seeking four (4) Traffic Marshals to join the Richards Bay Gas Operations Team. The primary role is to manage the flow of traffic effectively, ensuring safety and reducing congestion around the site.
Responsibilities:
- Safely drive BTT vehicles, representing the BTT brand positively.
- Communicate lane changes and traffic adjustments to drivers.
- Regulate traffic speed in work zones.
- Inspect pathways for infrastructure damage and report findings.
- Complete and maintain the Vehicle Log Sheet daily.
- Ensure all documents and keys are secured at the end of each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of BTT vehicles.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses involving BTT vehicles.
- Conduct weekly inspections of BTT vehicles and submit reports.
- Safely transport employees to and from site areas or other destinations as directed.
- Collect and distribute consumables and other items to sites as needed.
- Assist in directing traffic during emergencies.
Requirements:
- Minimum education level: Grade 12 or National Certificate.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PDP (advantageous).
- At least 1 year of experience as a Flagman or Corporate Driver.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Clean driving record with no traffic violations.
- In-depth knowledge of traffic regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
