Bolux Group, a leading player in the FMCG and manufacturing sector, seeks a qualified and experienced Bakery Sales Representative to join our team in Ramotswa and Francistown. The successful candidate will report directly to the Bakery Sales Manager and will be instrumental in driving sales activities, customer satisfaction, and the market presence of our bakery product basket.

Key Responsibilities

The Bakery Sales Representative will be expected to:

-Generate and increase bakery sales volumes, revenues, and cost performance against approved budgets.

-Identify problem areas and allocate resources to optimize Bakery performance.

-Establish and maintain strong relationships with store management, merchandisers, and relevant stakeholders in formal and informal markets, including wholesalers and supermarkets.

-Ensure product availability and visibility in stores, adhering to proper display standards and pricing.

-Maximize the utilization of bread stands to meet market demand for all product categories, including bread and confectionery.

-Facilitate stock rotation using FIFO principles and coordinate closely with Sales Drivers, Depot Managers, and Store Managers to minimize damages and returns.

-Negotiate optimal product positioning and shelf placement in stores for increased visibility and sales advantage.

-Monitor product handling, shelf-life adherence, and expiry management to avoid short-dated stock.

-Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, ensuring sufficient product availability to meet customer demand.

-Actively participate in special promotions and utilize marketing tools to maximize sales and product awareness.

-Ensure personal presentation aligns with company standards, including wearing branded uniforms and maintaining professional behavior.

-Compile and present detailed sales reports to the Executive Committee (ExCo).

-Support the implementation of ISO and Kaizen programs, contributing to health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Degree in Sales and Marketing, Product Management, Business Studies, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail, energy, assertiveness, and the ability to multitask effectively.
