Overview
The Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority (BoMRA) is seeking a Graduate Trainee – Data Protection Officer to assist in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations. The role involves supporting data protection activities, developing awareness programs, and implementing security measures.
Key Responsibilities
-Assist in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and policies.
-Participate in conducting data protection audits and risk assessments.
-Assist in maintaining data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
-Support awareness and training on data protection compliance.
-Conduct monitoring and reporting on data protection activities.
-Assist in responding to data protection queries and incidents.
-Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on data protection matters.
Qualifications & Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, Data Protection, or related fields.
-Certification in CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent is an advantage.

-Strong knowledge of data protection laws and best practices.
-Analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
