Overview:
The Botswana Prison Service invites applications for the position of Assistant Principal Officer (Environmental Health). This role is critical in ensuring environmental health standards are met and maintained within the organization, contributing to a safe and healthy environment for both staff and inmates.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement environmental health policies and practices.
-Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
-Monitor and manage waste disposal and sanitation systems.
-Provide training and awareness on environmental health practices.
-Investigate and resolve health hazards within the organization.
-Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high environmental health standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health or a related field.
- Experience:
- At least two (2) years of experience, which must have been served at Salary Scale C2 or equivalent.

- 30 working days per annum for C1 scale and above.
