Job Title: Truck Driver Code 14
Overview:
Buffalo International Logistics is looking for a skilled and experienced Code 14 Truck Driver to join our team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy vehicles, with a focus on safety, compliance, and timely deliveries. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient transport of goods across various locations.
Core Responsibilities:
-Safely operate heavy motor vehicles, including trucks and trailers, adhering to all legal and safety standards.
-Deliver goods and materials to specified destinations on schedule, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
-Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after trips. Promptly report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
-Ensure goods are properly loaded and secured to prevent damage during transit. Assist in loading and unloading as necessary.
-Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, delivery times, and any incidents or delays encountered.
-Strictly adhere to all traffic laws, company regulations, and safety policies, including environmental guidelines.
-Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any delivery-related issues or concerns with professionalism.
Requirements:
- Education: Matric certificate.
- License: Valid Code 14 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PdP).
- Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Code 14 driver.
- Technical Skills: Ability to hook and unhook trailers from and to a horse, with strong attention to detail and safety.
- Driving Skills: Excellent driving skills with thorough knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Communication: Good communication and navigation skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting and moving cargo as needed.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.
- Problem-Solving: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems effectively.
