Overview:

Clicks Group is currently seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the Maun branch. This role is ideal for someone passionate about retail, capable of driving sales, ensuring compliance, and inspiring staff to deliver a world-class customer experience.


Job Purpose:

To assist in the efficient running of the store and enhance service delivery by driving sales performance, overseeing store operations, and fostering customer loyalty to give Clicks a competitive edge.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support achievement of store financial performance through sales growth and promotional execution
  • Ensure efficient stock management, shrinkage control, expense tracking, and general store upkeep
  • Execute in-store visual merchandising in line with brand standards
  • Motivate and lead staff to meet daily targets and goals, especially in the Store Manager’s absence
  • Manage work schedules in compliance with company labour policies
  • Facilitate superior customer service and ClubCard engagement
  • Oversee administrative tasks, including staff attendance and HR documentation
  • Embody and promote company values to support brand loyalty

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Essential: Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) or equivalent with at least 50% in Maths and English
  • Desirable: Diploma or Degree in Retail/Business Management

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an assistant store management role in a retail or FMCG environment
  • Or successful completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Exposure to financial management (budgets, P&L, etc.) is an advantage
