Overview:
MP Mining is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QCQA Officer to join our laboratory team in Mosetse/Dukwi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes and ensuring laboratory compliance with international standards, including ISO 17025.
Position Purpose:
The QCQA Officer will manage quality assurance functions within the analytical laboratory, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and support continuous improvement in testing accuracy and documentation practices.
Key Responsibilities:
-Record and review laboratory test data for accuracy and compliance.
-Conduct equipment calibrations, routine maintenance, and verifications according to schedule.
-Support deviation reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action documentation.
-Provide documentation and participate in internal and external QA audits.
-Review logbooks, batch records, and testing documentation for completeness.
-Assist in investigating Out-of-Specification (OOS) and Out-of-Trend (OOT) results.
-Ensure adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) at all times.
-Perform analytical testing of samples using validated methods and operating various instruments.
Requirements:
-Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Metallurgical Assaying.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in a base metal analytical laboratory.
-Experience in an accredited laboratory setting.
-Training and understanding of ISO 17025 standards.
-Experience in ISO 17025 auditing processes.
-Strong background in quality control and laboratory compliance.
