Overview:
Insure Guard is seeking a skilled and proactive Credit Controller to join its finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing premium debtors, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate records. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with a background in credit management and a passion for maintaining strong client relationships in a fast-paced insurance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage premium debtor accounts and ensure prompt collection of outstanding balances
-Contribute to the development and enforcement of credit control policies and procedures
-Monitor overdue accounts and engage with clients to resolve payment issues
-Reconcile accounts and prepare regular debtor reports for internal review
-Collaborate with underwriting and claims departments to maintain accurate account information
Requirements & Skills:
Qualifications:
-Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit control or accounts receivable
-Experience in the insurance industry is an added advantage
Competencies & Skills:
-Strong negotiation and communication skills
-A proactive and client-focused approach to debt collection
-Sound understanding of credit control procedures and practices
-Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in reconciliations
-Ability to work independently and handle pressure
-Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
