Overview:

GALAXY is seeking a highly trustworthy and experienced Cashier to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing financial transactions accurately, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and providing efficient customer service in a currency exchange environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Process all financial transactions, including customer payments and currency exchanges

-Administer daily deposits, maintain proper cash handling procedures

-Manage and record all transactions in accordance with internal policies and procedures

-Ensure compliance with KYC (Know Your Customer) guidelines as per the Bank of Botswana

-Maintain organized records of daily transactions and exchange activities

-Perform clerical and administrative duties to support the cash desk

-Provide excellent customer service during all exchanges and inquiries

Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:

-Basic Certificate in Accounting or a related qualification (minimum requirement)

-Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Bureau De Change / Money Exchange environment

-In-depth knowledge of major international currencies (e.g. USD, EUR, GBP, JPY) and exchange rates

-Strong numeracy and data entry skills

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Accuracy in money handling and financial reporting

-A valid Police Clearance Certificate will be required upon appointment
