The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following positions:
1. Finance Manager
Reports to: Head of Finance
Main Purpose of the Job:
To manage, plan, organize, and control all financial and management accounting functions of the Authority in line with national legislation and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement financial management processes, procedures, and controls.
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Monitor expenditure, revenue, and cash flow.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Supervise the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
- Ensure tax compliance and payroll processing.
- Manage risk related to financial processes and recommend mitigations.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience with at least 3 years in a financial management role.
- Experience in financial planning, treasury, and financial reporting.
- Membership with a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., BICA).
2. Accountant
Reports to: Finance Manager
Main Purpose of the Job:
To plan, organize and implement the accounting and financial management systems in compliance with international accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
- Manage payroll, budgeting, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Prepare reconciliations and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory obligations.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Support budgeting, procurement, and investment processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least two years of post-qualification experience.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, BICA).
- Working knowledge of IFRS and financial systems.
- Experience in public or private finance sectors.
3. Data Capturer X4 (6-Months Contract)
Main Purpose of the Job:
To accurately input, verify, and maintain data in the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and updates into the EDRMS system.
- Ensure data integrity and completeness.
- Digitize and scan both physical and electronic records.
- Maintain data privacy and follow organizational data security protocols.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate in Records Management, Office Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Data Capturer.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
