Position: Principal Estates Officer II
Location: Tsabong District Council, Botswana

Overview:
The Tsabong District Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Botswana citizen to fill the position of Principal Estates Officer II. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the valuation and management of property within the council.
Responsibilities:
-Value land and properties acquired or disposed by Council, ensuring appropriate compensation.
-Review valuation guidance tools to improve economic rate payments.
-Supervise and guide subordinates in alignment with established standards.
-Formulate policies regarding the use of Council buildings and land.
-Develop strategies and guidelines to ensure compliant property management.
-Negotiate with landlords on lease agreements, renewals, and repairs.
-Determine rental rates for Council staff housing to enable cost recovery.
-Carry out any other duties as assigned by management.
Salary Scale:
- D3 (P293,652.00 – P323,748.00 per annum)
Leave Entitlement:
- 30 working days per annum
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Estate Management or a BSc in Land Management or a related field.
- Applicants must attach valid certified copies of a practicing certificate from REAC.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience.
- At least 2 years must have been served at the level of Senior Estates Officer II at D4 salary scale or equivalent.

Benefits:
- Contributory Pension Fund Scheme: Government contributes 15%, employee contributes 5%.
- Optional Contributory Medical Aid Scheme: Government pays 50%, employee pays 50%.
