Overview:
Redpath Botswana, a leader in underground mining services, is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Maintenance Coordinator for the Jwaneng Underground Mining Development Project. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading the maintenance crew to ensure mechanical equipment is maintained according to approved safety standards, while optimizing reliability and availability.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure materials are ordered in correct quantities and delivered on time to the proper locations
• Maintain comprehensive maintenance records for all equipment
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities
• Maintain adequate spare parts to prevent downtime
• Execute efficient equipment repairs to meet required standards
• Collaborate with the electrical supervisor for machinery-related services
• Maintain a stable maintenance workforce
• Act as the first point of grievance for maintenance crew in the absence of the Maintenance Superintendent

Requirements and Skills:

• Mechanical Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with underground mining equipment and large maintenance teams
• Ability to operate all mobile equipment for maintenance
• Proven leadership in continuous improvement and innovation environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Heavy mobile equipment experience
• Valid Driver’s License, First Aid & CPR certification
