Overview:

Mr Price Botswana is looking for an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead the operations of its Francistown branch at Nzano Centre. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the store’s performance, ensuring targets are met, customer service is exceptional, and operational standards are consistently upheld. This is a strategic leadership role for individuals passionate about retail excellence, team development, and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stock Management:

• Ensure stock is accurately received, unpacked, and merchandised on the sales floor.
• Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to mitigate stock loss.
• Maintain the stockroom according to housekeeping and safety standards.
• Authorize product write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.

2. Sales Growth & Profitability:

• Analyse sales and profitability reports to inform action plans and improve performance.
• Track in-store product trends and provide feedback to the support team.
• Identify and implement initiatives to boost sales and enhance brand visibility.

3. Risk Management:

• Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to policies and operational procedures.

4. Customer Experience Management:

• Ensure excellent customer service by executing company initiatives such as promotions, markdowns, repricing, and maintaining visual standards.
• Respond to customer feedback and maintain a welcoming, clean store environment.

5. Leadership & Development:

• Lead the store team in achieving KPIs and operational goals in alignment with Mr Price values.
• Identify training and development needs and promote talent management.
• Manage staff recruitment, performance, and discipline in line with company policies.

6. Innovation:

• Implement innovation strategies from Head Office to enhance customer satisfaction and streamline store operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) or equivalent qualification.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in retail store management.
• Strong knowledge of sales, service management, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Sound understanding of retail operations, brand positioning, and customer engagement.
