Position Overview:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will take charge of the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in water reticulation projects—including pump stations, water treatment plants, and pressure control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee the installation of pumps, valves, and mechanical components in water supply systems
• Conduct pressure and flow rate calculations to ensure system efficiency
• Prepare mechanical drawings, specifications, and layouts for tender and construction
• Supervise contractors during installations and commissioning phases
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during and post-construction
• Develop maintenance strategies and operational procedures
• Collaborate with civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for integrated project execution
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, including 2 years in water infrastructure
• Registered or eligible for registration with ERB, ECSA, or similar professional body
• Skilled in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and pump selection tools
• Proven experience in pump station design, layout, and installation supervision
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to field locations

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in water systems
• Experience in energy-efficient pumping system design and optimization
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deliver complex projects under pressure
