Join Our Team – Conveyancing Secretary (Maun Office)

Akheel Jinabhai & Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Conveyancing Secretary to join our team in Maun. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and processing of property conveyancing transactions and support the legal team in delivering high-quality legal services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist conveyancing attorneys in the preparation of property transaction documents
• Apply for and follow up on third-party documents such as BURS clearances, rates clearance, consents, compliance certificates, etc.
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic and hard copy records
• Manage communication with clients, attorneys, and external stakeholders involved in property transactions
• Provide general administrative support to the conveyancing team
• Perform additional duties as may be assigned by the attorneys

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree or Diploma in Secretarial Studies or a related qualification
• 2–3 years’ experience working in conveyancing or a legal setting
• Sound knowledge of conveyancing procedures, terminology, and deeds processes
• Excellent time management, drafting, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
• Strong communication skills and professional client management
• Energetic, proactive, and highly motivated with a keen attention to detail
