Overview:
Master Farmer Feeds (Pty) Ltd, a leading animal feed manufacturer in Botswana, is seeking a results-driven and experienced Accountant to join their Finance Department in Mochudi. The ideal candidate will be partially qualified and have a proven track record in financial reporting, account reconciliations, stock control, and audit preparation.
Position Purpose:
To manage and support the company’s financial functions, reporting processes, and financial team operations, ensuring integrity, compliance, and accuracy in all accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and present accurate monthly and weekly financial reports.
-Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and trial balance.
-Plan, coordinate, and oversee monthly stock counts and stock management.
-Manage creditor and debtor accounts and ensure timely reconciliations.
-Supervise the admin and finance department staff.
-Support internal and external audit processes.
-Handle tax-related submissions and correspondence.
-Generate reports and financial analyses for management decision-making and group reporting.
-Review and authorize monthly payment schedules.
Requirements:
–Partially qualified in BICA / ACCA / CIMA or a Degree in Accounting/Finance.
–Active BICA membership at the appropriate category.
-Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role or as a senior auditor.
-Hands-on experience with a recognized ERP or accounting application.
-Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office suite.
-Strong working knowledge of creditor, debtor, and inventory management.
-Ability to present financial reports to the board and senior stakeholders.
