Overview:
Botswana Power Corporation is seeking five (5) Lubrication Artisans to join our team in Morupule. The successful candidates will be responsible for lubricating plant equipment and maintaining lubrication store inventory to ensure smooth plant operations and minimize breakdowns.
Responsibilities:
Plant Equipment Lubrication & Maintenance:
-Conduct daily plant inspections to check oil levels and leaks, topping up where necessary or reporting defects for corrective action.
-Perform routine lubrication to enhance equipment performance and reduce breakdowns.
-Carry out other lubrication maintenance repairs as assigned by the supervisor.
-Operate plant equipment and adjust work sequences to improve efficiency.
Inventory & Store Management:
-Monitor lubricants’ store stock and tools inventory, ensuring immediate plant needs are met.
-Notify the supervisor of replenishment or replacement needs.
-Maintain accurate lubrication records, including types and quantities used, application dates, and any observed issues.
Housekeeping & Compliance:
-Clean work areas upon completion of lubrication tasks.
-Maintain high housekeeping standards in the lubrications store.
-Handle and dispose of spillages in compliance with safety and housekeeping procedures.
-Follow all standard operating procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- NCC in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
- Lubrication certificate (Advantageous).
- Must be a Competent Person (6 months for internal candidates, 12 months for external candidates).
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a plant maintenance lubrication environment.
