Overview:

The Kanye District Council invites applications from Ministry of Local Government and Traditional Affairs employees only for the position of Chief Administration Officer I. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating the provision of administrative support to Council Departments.


Salary Scale:

  • D3 (P293,652.00 – P323,748.00) per annum

Leave Entitlement:

  • 30 working days per annum

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Public Administration or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience,
  • At least two (2) years must have been served as Chief Administration Officer II – D4

Benefits:

  • Medical Aid Scheme: Optional contributory – Government pays 50%, employee pays 50%
  • Pension Scheme: Contributory – Government pays 15%, employee pays 5% of basic salary

Main Purpose of the Job:

To coordinate and oversee the provision of administrative support services to Council Departments.


Key Responsibilities:

-Supervise and direct subordinates in line with set standards

-Coordinate equitable distribution and utilization of office space and furniture

-Oversee provision of furniture and office accessories based on officer seniority and status

-Ensure officers requiring personal assistants are allocated such resources

-Provide administrative support to departments by seconding administrative officers

-Supervise Council premises’ security to ensure adequate protection

-Undertake any other duties assigned by management
