Overview:
Choppies Distribution Centre (Pty) Ltd is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join the team as the Head of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the entire logistics and supply chain process, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and the timely delivery of goods. This senior role will contribute significantly to strategic planning and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead and manage logistics and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

-Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics and supply chain processes, focusing on efficiency and cost reduction.

-Manage inventory, distribution, and warehouse operations across the organization.

-Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure a reliable supply chain.

-Integrate and manage technology solutions to improve efficiency and visibility throughout the supply chain.

-Plan and oversee distribution and production schedules for logistics operations.

-Collaborate with internal departments to improve customer satisfaction and achieve cost savings.

Requirements:

-A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

-Minimum of 10 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven leadership track record.

-Extensive knowledge of logistics software, warehouse management systems, and supply chain processes.

-Strong project management capabilities and advanced data analysis skills.
