Position: Temporary Assistant Board Clerk – C3 (x2 Positions)
Location: Ngwato Land Board – Main Land Board and Tutume Sub Land Board
Closing Date: 25 April 2025


Overview:

The Assistant Board Clerk will provide administrative and clerical support to the Land Board and its committees. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy of meeting records, managing official communications, and supporting the smooth execution of board proceedings.


Responsibilities:

-Attend to public queries regarding land applications and Board decisions.

-Invite clients to attend scheduled Board meetings.

-Prepare and circulate meeting notices and trip schedules.

-Record accurate minutes during Board proceedings (e.g., appeals, disputes, monitoring).

-Maintain attendance registers for Board members.

-Draft and circulate Board resolutions to stakeholders.

-Assist in processing financial claims, advances, and workers’ compensation.

-Prepare agendas and provide logistical support for meetings.

-Perform other clerical duties as assigned by management.


    Requirements & Skills:

    • Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts in Humanities or a related field.
    • Experience: No prior experience required.
    • Skills:
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
      • Proficiency in meeting documentation and minute-taking
      • Ability to work with confidential information professionally
