Position: Trainee HSE&T Administrator

Overview

Barminco, a global leader in hard-rock underground mining and a member of the Perenti Group, is inviting applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Trainee HSE&T Administrator. This opportunity is based at Zone 5 under Khoemacau Copper Mining (KCM), near Maun in Botswana. The role supports the Health, Safety, Environment & Training (HSE&T) department in ensuring accurate, timely reporting and administrative excellence in alignment with Barminco’s 5 Safety Principles.

Responsibilities

-Accrue, record, and report KPIs, including CCFV, VLI, Task Observations, and Inspections

-Maintain cloud-based HSE databases such as INX InTuition and HSE Central

-Manage spreadsheets, logs, and registers related to safety and training

-Support HSE&T staff in preparing for and facilitating pre-shift, toolbox, and safety meetings

-Identify and recommend improvements to administrative processes within the HSE&T function

-Assist with data analysis and reporting as required

-Compile weekly and monthly HSE reports for both the Project Manager and Head of HSE Africa

Requirements and Skills

-Minimum intermediate-level skill and experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Outlook)

-Prior experience in an administrative role in a fast-paced environment

-Demonstrated ability to manage accurate and timely data entry into cloud-based platforms

-Strong communication and presentation skills in English (written and verbal)

-Confidence in developing and analyzing data and presenting findings to various stakeholders

-Relevant qualification in administration or experience in a similar role
