Overview
Lethlakeng District Council invites applications from suitably qualified Botswana citizens residing in Kaudwane only for the position of Cleaner II. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within Council schools in the area.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Scale: A2 (P36,444 – P42,024 per annum)
- Leave: 20 working days per annum
- Medical Aid: Optional contributory scheme (Government pays 80%, employee pays 20%)
- Pension Scheme: Contributory pension (Government contributes 15%, employee contributes 5%)
Key Responsibilities
- Clean offices, furniture, classrooms, toilets, and ancillary rooms daily.
- Wash and iron linen used at schools.
- Ensure safe custody and availability of cleaning materials; report shortages.
- Prepare and organize venues for meetings.
- Serve tea during meetings and when required.
- Secure windows, doors, and switch off utilities before leaving.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Education: Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE)
- Experience: Prior cleaning experience preferred but not required.
