Overview:

Makoro Brick & Tile is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Pit Supervisor to manage daily quarry operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who ensures the safe extraction of clay materials while maintaining regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:

-Supervise and coordinate quarry mining activities

-Ensure safety compliance and enforce relevant policies and regulations

-Conduct regular inspections and maintain mining equipment

-Coordinate with lab teams to improve product quality

-Monitor staff performance, productivity, and adherence to safety standards

-Train staff and monitor machine use and extraction practices

-Maintain records for audits and reporting

Requirements:

-BGCSE plus Diploma in Mining Engineering

-Minimum 3 years’ experience in mining and environmental assessments

-Strong knowledge of mining safety regulations

-Leadership and supervisory skills in a mining or quarrying environment

-Code B driver’s license

-Knowledge of Mines, Quarries, Works and Machinery Act (CAP44:02)
