Overview:
Mega Bags Botswana, a trusted manufacturer of high-quality woven polypropylene (PP) and BOPP laminated bags, is hiring an experienced Production Specialist to support its operations in Lobatse. These bags are widely used in agriculture, construction, food, and chemical industries. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial sewing machines used in woven bag production.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage and coordinate the full production process of PP woven and BOPP laminated bags
-Operate and supervise production machinery, including extrusion, weaving, lamination, printing, cutting, and industrial sewing units (e.g., bag bottom stitchers, side seamers)
-Ensure sewn bags meet specified strength, alignment, and quality standards
-Supervise and train machine operators and sewing line personnel
-Conduct routine inspections and perform minor maintenance on sewing and production machines
-Maintain accurate production logs and quality reports
-Enforce safety, hygiene, and operational standards on the factory floor
Qualifications & Experience:
-Diploma or Certificate in Production Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
-Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in PP/BOPP bag manufacturing
-Strong understanding of industrial sewing processes and equipment
