The Palapye District Council invites applications from suitably qualified residents of Lerala Village for the post of Public Health Attendant. This role is essential in ensuring public hygiene and sanitation across the council area and is ideal for individuals passionate about community service.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Public Health Attendant
- Salary Scale: A3 (P37,740 – P39,456 per annum)
- Leave: 20 working days per annum
- Age Requirement: 18 to 45 years
- Benefits:
- Medical Aid Scheme (Optional): Government pays 50%, employee pays 50%
- Pension Fund: Government pays 15%, employee contributes 5%
Minimum Qualification:
- A minimum of Primary School Leaving Examination Certificate (PSLE)
Main Purpose of the Job:
To collect and dispose of refuse and perform related sanitation duties within the council area, contributing to a clean and healthy environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
-Collect refuse in designated areas
-Remove and dispose of dead animals within the council jurisdiction
-Maintain refuse disposal sites by burning, burying waste, or clearing bushes
-Assist in destroying condemned food and cleaning refuse trucks
-Dispose of waste as per the Public Service Act guidelines
-Segregate and direct waste to appropriate locations
-Perform any additional duties as directed by management
