Overview:
Skwata Agency (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of the Botswana Defence Force Retired Members Association (BDFRMA), is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to assume the role of Principal Officer. The successful candidate will oversee the operations of the agency, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations, while driving the organization’s overall strategic and financial performance.
Responsibilities:
-Ensure compliance with Microlending Regulations of NBFIRA
-Oversee licensing and registration processes
-Conduct off-site and on-site monitoring
-Manage and assess principal risks
-Maintain communication with business partners, stakeholders, and customers
-Serve as a liaison to regulatory and investigative agencies, particularly on AML/CTF matters
Requirements and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Banking or equivalent qualification
- Experience: Minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience in a lending or financial accounting environment, with at least one year at a middle managerial level in a computerized accounting environment
