Overview:
The Ministry of Child Welfare and Basic Education – South Regional Operations invites applications for the role of Part-Time Boarding Assistants. The successful candidates will support the daily operations of boarding hostels in schools across the South Region, ensuring student welfare and compliance with hostel procedures.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Matron/Boarding Master with day-to-day operations of the school hostel.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to students.
  • Issue student permits and address their queries.
  • Settle student disputes and offer appropriate resolutions.
  • Supervise students during meals and cleaning routines.

  • Student welfare and dispute resolution
  • Permit issuance and record handling
  • Hostel supervision and sanitation oversight

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance & Counseling, or Secondary Education
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness
  • Teamwork and customer service orientation
  • Drive for results

  • Age: Between 21 and 45 years

Working Hours:

  • Shifts run from 16:30 hrs to 05:30 hrs the following day
  • Maximum of 32 hours per week

Salary Scale:

  • C3: P127,092.00 – P150,852.00 per annum
  • C4: P108,444.00 – P123,420.00 per annum
  • B3: P65,508.00 – P76,908.00 per annum
