Overview:
The Ministry of Child Welfare and Basic Education – South Regional Operations invites applications for the role of Part-Time Boarding Assistants. The successful candidates will support the daily operations of boarding hostels in schools across the South Region, ensuring student welfare and compliance with hostel procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Matron/Boarding Master with day-to-day operations of the school hostel.
- Provide guidance and counseling to students.
- Issue student permits and address their queries.
- Settle student disputes and offer appropriate resolutions.
- Supervise students during meals and cleaning routines.

- Student welfare and dispute resolution
- Permit issuance and record handling
- Hostel supervision and sanitation oversight
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance & Counseling, or Secondary Education
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness
- Teamwork and customer service orientation
- Drive for results

Working Hours:
- Shifts run from 16:30 hrs to 05:30 hrs the following day
- Maximum of 32 hours per week
Salary Scale:
- C3: P127,092.00 – P150,852.00 per annum
- C4: P108,444.00 – P123,420.00 per annum
- B3: P65,508.00 – P76,908.00 per annum
