Programme Overview

All admitted students are required to complete fundamental components, which include:

• Communication and Study Skills
• Foundations of Education
• Special Needs Education
• Educational Technology

In addition, students must undertake:

• A Research Project
• Teaching Practice

Learners will also choose:

• One (1) Elective Subject from:
  Agriculture, Business Studies, English, Home Economics, Mathematics, Science, Religious Education, Setswana, Moral Education
• One (1) Option Subject from:
  English, Mathematics, Science, Religious Education, Setswana, Social Studies, Physical Education, Library Studies, Guidance and Counselling

Entry Requirements

Category 1: General Applicants

• BGCSE, NCQF Certificate Level 4 or equivalent
• Minimum of 28 points
• At least a D in English
• A pass in at least three (3) other subjects

Category 2: Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) / Special Educational Needs (SEN)

• Minimum of 26 points
• At least an E in English
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may apply for those with relevant work experience, subject to applicable policies

Conditions for Admission

• Only applicants meeting the entry requirements will be considered.
• Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee admission.
• Preference will be given to applicants who completed BGCSE within the last two (2) years and have not previously enrolled in tertiary education.
• Applicants providing false or misleading information will be disqualified, and any admission will be revoked.
• Only successful applicants will be contacted.

Fees & Sponsorship

Local Applicants:

• Must apply for sponsorship with the Department of Tertiary Education Financing (DTEF) upon receiving admission.
• Registration is only confirmed upon submission of proof of sponsorship or payment of full semester fees.

Fee Structure:

• On-Campus: P3,686.65 per semester / P7,373.30 per annum
• Off-Campus: P3,196.50 per semester / P6,393.00 per annum

International Applicants:

• Registration will only be completed upon submission of a Study Permit, proof of sponsorship, and/or payment of full semester fees.
