Cape Mental Health is seeking a reliable and responsible Driver with a valid Code 10 driver’s license and PDP to join our team in Cape Town, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting service users and ensuring the proper maintenance and management of company vehicles. Key Responsibilities

Safe Driving: Carefully transport service users while maintaining cautious and responsible driving at all times.

Vehicle Logbook: Complete and maintain an accurate logbook for all trips taken.

Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure vehicles are regularly serviced, well-maintained, and kept clean.

Vehicle Checks: Perform required vehicle checks and submit reports to management as needed.

Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company vehicle policies, including managing traffic fines.

Incident Reporting: Report any incidents or accidents immediately to the relevant manager.

Health and Safety: Maintain health and safety practices in all transportation activities.

Vehicle Security: Ensure vehicles are securely parked and locked when not in use, especially at overnight venues.

Petrol Card and Keys: Take responsibility for the vehicle’s petrol card and keys.

Training: Attend all training sessions required by management.

Collaboration: Maintain good working relationships with staff, service users, and their families.

Requirements

Driver’s License: Valid Code 10 with PDP (required).

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
